The Problem

Lithium battery manufacturing demands the most stringent humidity control in industrial manufacturing. Dry rooms must maintain dew points of -40°F or lower with the most demanding electrolyte handling environments requiring -60°F and below in order to keep moisture below 100ppm. Above that threshold, lithium reacts with atmospheric moisture, forming dendrites that compromise cell integrity, accelerate degradation, and create thermal runaway risk.

As gigafactory environments scale, maintaining consistent sub-zero dew points across large production spaces becomes dramatically more difficult.

Standard dehumidification systems can't reach these conditions. This is desiccant territory, and it requires application engineering expertise to get right.

Gigafactory environmental standards including IEC 62133 and manufacturer-specific specifications define moisture limits that require active desiccant control, not HVAC-grade dehumidification.

How We Solve It

We engineer desiccant systems purpose-built for lithium dry room environments to deliver and maintain very low dew points across large production spaces.

Our systems are designed for the scale and precision that gigafactory environments demand. Achieving and maintaining -40°F to -60°F dew points requires significant reactivation energy. Our hybrid configurations can recover condenser heat to drive desiccant reactivation, reducing the energy cost of deep drying substantially compared to electric-only reactivation.

We engage at facility design to ensure the dry room humidity control system is integrated with the overall HVAC architecture from the start.
